The Seahorse's went out for a little excursion around the Technology park the other day🚶‍♂️. As they walked around the park they got to see the different working environments such as Cafe's, Construction, QLD Health Centre and lots more🏭.

On their walk the children got to hop out and explore the natural elements, foraging them and bringing them back to BTP to incorporate into their craft and sensory experiences🌿.

The Seahorse's had such a great time, making the most out of the technology parks 'Bush Kindy' with Miss Tanya & Miss Megan🍃.

Good afternoon all

As you are all aware, SEQ is currently subject to a lockdown. As with previous lockdowns, BTP Early Learning Centre remains open to care for those children who require care.

We ask that parents familiarise themselves with the latest information regarding the lockdown and the rules surrounding leaving your home. Currently, the advice states that you can leave your home for the following essential purposes:

Obtaining essential goods or services, including healthcare
Exercising in your local area – it can only be within 10km of your home
Attending essential work or school and childcare for the children of essential workers or vulnerable children
Assisting a vulnerable persons or family member
Obtaining a COVID-19 test or vaccination

Essential work is explained as “essential work or volunteering or an essential business, activity or undertaking that cannot be done from your residence”.

As with other lockdowns, it is not our responsibility to determine whether or not you are an essential worker, this is your decision to make and we remain open to welcome your child to the centre should you choose for them to attend.

Please consult the following for the complete public health direction information - Restrictions for Locked Down Areas – South East Queensland | Health and wellbeing | Queensland Government (

If you or a close contact or family member is subject to a quarantine order as a result of having been in a declared contact tracing exposure site, or you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the centre and follow all public health advice and get tested, if required.

We ask for your assistance with the following rules:

Please note that the iPads will be removed from the foyer and the staff will sign children in and out each day.
Masks will be required to be worn at all times whilst within the centre.
Please sign in with the QR code each time you attend the centre
Please limit your time within the centre to a short drop off and quick pick up.
Only one parent or caregiver is to perform the drop off or pick up and please do not bring any other family members (including siblings) into the centre.

We will be in further contact regarding the scheduled Bush Dance once more information is provided by the Queensland Government regarding the lockdown and duration.

We thank you for your patience and cooperation at this time. We are doing the best we can to relay the information we are provided with and translate that information into what is allowable for us as a service. We have access to the same information that you do and do not get any additional guidance as to how to interpret the rules. We appreciate that this can be very confusing at times, but please bear with us as we work together to make the service as safe as possible for all children and families.
