WHALES 4 TO 5 YEARS

OVERVIEW

Our Whales room is the home of our Queensland government approved Kindergarten program.  The program in the Whales room is based on the children’s individual development derived from observations and the children’s interests. Children are encouraged to make their own choices and be independent. This includes children writing their own name on their artwork, getting their own drinks, taking care of their belongings, dressing themselves and self-selecting their own art supplies and paints from the art and collage trolley. The Whales room offers a program focussed on getting the children ready for school with the goals and interests of the children being adapted into a daily/weekly program that is set to the learning outcomes outlined under the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
